For a strong **all-purpose anti-patrol loadout**:
- **Primary:** Exploding Crossbow — deletes clustered infantry and closes bug holes/fabricators.
- **Secondary:** Senator or Verdict — quick cleanup without wasting explosives.
- **Grenade:** Stun Grenade — freezes the group so your strike lands cleanly.
- **Armor:** Medium armor with **Engineering Kit** or **Fortified**.
- **Stratagems:**
1. **Eagle Airstrike** — fastest reliable patrol wipe.
2. **Orbital Gatling Barrage** — excellent area denial and short cooldown.
3. **Recoilless Rifle** — handles heavies, dropships, and transports.
4. **Autocannon Sentry** — covers survivors and armored reinforcements.
**Execution:** stun the patrol, throw the Eagle across its direction of travel, then immediately kill any unit attempting to call a breach/drop. Save the Recoilless Rifle for heavies or transports.
Faction tweaks:
- **Terminids:** replace Autocannon Sentry with **Eagle Napalm** or a **Guard Dog**.
- **Automatons:** replace Orbital Gatling with **Orbital Precision Strike**; Autocannon support weapon is also excellent.
- **Illuminate:** prioritize rapid-fire weapons and area damage; **Laser Cannon** or **Machine Gun** can replace the Recoilless if shields/chaff are the main problem.
